Objective: The purpose of this paper is to describe chiropractic management of a patient with neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) and to provide discussion regarding presentation, differential diagnosis, management and prognosis of idiopathic NA.
Case Presentation: An 85 year old Caucasian male presented to a chiropractic clinic with right periscapular and lateral rib cage pain. The patient had previously sought evaluation and treatment from multiple health care providers and underwent multiple interventions without relief.
Intervention And Outcome: The patient was managed with a course of chiropractic care and an ongoing home exercise program was carried out. The patient reported spontaneous resolution of pain approximately 14 months post onset.
Summary: NA is a poorly known clinical entity amongst health care providers and poses challenges in timely and proper diagnosis. Recognition of NA is important for patients to be best managed and for more optimal patient outcomes to be achieved.
Purpose: To compare long-term care escalation encounters among three care patterns for new episodes of neck pain among Medicare beneficiaries.
Methods: We examined Medicare claims spanning a four-year period for beneficiaries with new episodes of neck pain beginning in 2019. All patients were continuously enrolled under Medicare parts A, B, and D and aged 65-99 years.

Aims: This study aims to describe pain management technique usage and social functioning limitations among adults with chronic pain by diabetes status.
Methods: The 2019 and 2020 National Health Interview Survey data were pooled to complete this analysis. Background: Low back pain is a common musculoskeletal condition which causes substantial disability globally. The biopsychosocial model of management has been recommended in national and international guidelines for the management of patients with chronic low back pain (CLBP). However, biopsychosocial approaches are predominantly delivered in high income countries (HICs), although the prevalence of LBP is substantially higher in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) especially in Africa (39%; 95% CI 30-47).
Questions: What reassurance is being delivered by physiotherapists and chiropractors to people with non-specific low back pain? How is it being delivered? What are the barriers and enablers to delivering reassurance to people with non-specific low back pain?
Design: A qualitative study.
Participants: Thirty-two musculoskeletal clinicians (16 physiotherapists and 16 chiropractors) who manage low back pain in primary care.
Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted about their experiences delivering reassurance.
