Aspergillus oryzae is a widely used host for heterologous expression of fungal natural products. However, the vectors previously developed are not convenient for use and screening positive transformants by PCR and fermentation is time- and effort-consuming. Hence, three plug-and-play vectors were developed here for multi-gene expression and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry detection was introduced to screen positive transformants.

The efficient removal of organic contaminants from high-salinity wastewater is crucial for resource recovery and achieving zero discharge. Nanofiltration (NF) membranes are effective in separating organic compounds and monovalent salts, but they typically exhibit an excessive rejection of divalent salts. Modifying the charge characteristics of NF membranes can improve salt permeation; however, the role of charge spatial distribution in governing salt transport behavior is not fully understood.

The commercial production of passion fruit is geographically limited (California, Florida, and Hawaii), but the development of cold-tolerant varieties could expand it beyond warm-climate states (Stafne et.al. 2023).

Rapid and accurate molecular diagnostics are crucial for preventing the global spread of emerging infectious diseases. However, the current gold standard for nucleic acid detection, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), relies heavily on traditional magnetic beads or silica membranes for nucleic acid extraction, resulting in several limitations, including time-consuming processes, the need for trained personnel, and complex equipment. Therefore, there is an urgent need for fully integrated nucleic acid detection technologies that are simple to operate, rapid, and highly sensitive to meet unmet clinical needs.
