This study aimed to evaluate the visualization of right adrenal vein (RAV) in non-contrast-enhanced multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) and its guiding role for right adrenal venous sampling (AVS) in patients with primary aldosteronism (PA). A total of 237 patients diagnosed with PA who underwent successful AVS procedures from January 2020 to March 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The non-contrast-enhanced MDCT image features of RAV included the degree of visualization and the position of RAV orifice.

In recent years, with an increasingly profound comprehension of the tumor microenvironment, it has been discovered that the constituent cells within the immune microenvironment, such as macrophages, CD4T cells, and CD8T cells, interact with tumor cells in manners conducive to tumorigenesis and progression. Exosomes play a pivotal role as essential mediators for intercellular material exchange and signal transmission in this context. Tumor cell-derived exosomes carrying cargo such as PD-L1 and ncRNAs engage with CD8T cells to induce cytotoxic responses and facilitate immune evasion, thereby promoting tumor advancement.

Background: The role of cancer-associated pericytes (CAPs) in tumor microenvironment (TME) suggests that they are potential targets for cancer treatment. The mechanism of CAP heterogeneity in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains unclear, which has limited the development of treatments for tumors through CAPs. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of the classification, function, cellular communication and spatial distribution of CAP subpopulations in ESCC is urgently needed.

Background Lung resection is a complex surgical procedure performed in children to address various pulmonary conditions. The success of this surgical intervention in these patients lies in a multidisciplinary approach, with anesthetic management playing a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of the procedure. Methods After approval by the local ethics committee, clinical data of 17 pediatric patients who underwent lung resection in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.

Department of Oncology, Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital & Thoracic Cancer Institute, Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai 200433, China.

The innate immune system has a primary role in defending against external threats, encompassing viruses, bacteria, and fungi, thereby playing a pivotal role in establishing robust protection. Recent investigations have shed light on its importance in the progression of tumors, with a particular emphasis on lung cancer. Among the various signaling pathways implicated in this intricate process, the cGAS-STING pathway emerges as a significant participant.
