Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the risk factors that may cause postoperative otomycosis in patients undergoing Chronic Nonsuppurative Otitis Media (CNSOM) surgery.
Methods: In this retrospective study, 409 out of 523 patients met the inclusion criteria. 44 patients diagnosed with otomycosis CNSOM were analyzed.

Background: Life expectancy is on the rise, accompanied by an increased prevalence of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. Despite this global trend, our understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive changes in the oldest-old (>80 years old) population remains limited. Unraveling these mechanisms may provide valuable insights and therapeutic interventions for individuals grappling with cognitive impairments in older age.

Background: Hearing loss (HL) is a common sensory disorder in humans. Studies on the relationship between arsenic, which is a highly toxic and widely distributed heavy metal with a health risk to humans, and hearing status in humans are contradictory and mostly focused on people living in arsenic-contaminated areas. This study investigated the association between urinary arsenic levels and hearing threshold shifts in the general population in the United States.
