We demonstrate a flexible cross-correlated (C) imaging method in the time domain by application of a tunable and highly flexible light source. An advantage of the flexible C method is shown by characterization of the step-index fiber (SMF28) over a broad range of wavelengths from 870nm to 1090nm and by the modal analysis of the distributed modal filtering (DMF) rod fiber within a wavelength range from 1050nm to 1090nm. Also, the influence of the spectral shape and bandwidth on the imaging trace is investigated by deliberately adjusting the input spectrum of the light source. The modal intensity as well as the phase distribution are extracted by the alternative method of 2D FT filtering. Being exceptionally tunable the flexible C method gives an ability to adapt the system's parameters in a desired manner satisfying even measurements of very specific fiber designs opening up new possibilities for advanced modal characterization of fibers over broad range of wavelengths.

Reaction of Donor-Acceptor α-Diazo Esters and ,-Dimethylformamide/γ-Lactams To Generate α-Amino-α-aroylethanoates.

Org Lett

January 2025

Advanced Research Institute and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Taizhou University, Taizhou, Zhejiang 318000, People's Republic of China.

Herein, we present a metal-free, concise, and efficient protocol for the intermolecular reaction of amides (lactams) with donor-acceptor α-diazo esters to afford the functionalized α-amino-α-aroylethanoates. -Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and ,-dimethylformamide (DMF) are employed as both reagents and solvents, allowing for the incorporation of all units into the products. The reaction is processed by the ester group migration and compatible with a broad range of substrates up to 50 examples.

Adults hold a broad range of beliefs about intellectual ability. Key examples include beliefs about its malleability, its distribution in the population, whether high levels of it ("brilliance") are necessary for success, its origins, and its responsiveness to intervention. Here, we examined the structure and motivational significance of this network of consequential beliefs in a sample of elementary school-age children (5- to 11-year-olds, = 231; 116 girls, 112 boys, three gender nonbinary children; predominantly White and Asian children from relatively high-income backgrounds).

Purpose: To systematically review the evidence investigating the implementation of cardiorespiratory (CR) training in adults following a stroke and to understand how interventions are prescribed to address cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF).

Methods: Medline, CINAHL, EMBASE, EMCARE, Scopus, PEDro and ProQuest were searched from inception until January 2024. Inclusion criteria were studies that included adults following a stroke, investigated CR training interventions and used standardised CRF assessments.

Objective: Prolidase deficiency is a metabolic and immunological disorder that is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. In prolidase deficiency, a broad spectrum of differences is observed in patients, ranging from asymptomatic to multisystem involvement. There is scarce information in the literature on the atypical features and immunophenotypes of this disease.

Microrheology has become an indispensable tool for measuring the dynamics of macromolecular systems. Yet, its ability to characterize polymer dynamics across spatiotemporal scales, which vary among polymers and concentration regimes, is limited by the selection of probe morphologies and sizes. Here, we introduce semiflexible M13 phage as a powerful microrheological probe able to circumvent these constraints to robustly capture the dynamics of polymeric solutions across decades of concentrations, sizes, and ionic conditions.
