A colorimetric method for determining cyanuric chloride (CC) and for monitoring its polysaccharide gel activation, before and after ligand binding, was developed. The method is based on the reaction of CC or its activated gel with pyridine and barbituric acid or dimethylbarbituric acid. The product formed yields a purple red color with λ max at 595 nm, and an E value of approximately 300,000 after 1 h at room temperature. Due to its high sensitivity, this method can detect traces of CC (1 μM) under the above conditions. The method is fast, reliable and devoid of any side reactions.

Design and preparation of non-porous amorphous PEI-based polymers and their adsorption properties for anionic dyes.

In this study, we report the design and synthesis of a series of non-porous amorphous polyethyleneimine-based adsorbents, specifically PEI-PD, PEI-TC, and PEI-CC, for selective adsorption of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions. Utilizing pyromellitic dianhydride (PD), terephthaloyl chloride (TC), and cyanuric chloride (CC) as cross-linking agents, we produced adsorbents with distinct morphological and adsorption characteristics. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that PEI-PD and PEI-TC exhibit rough, folded surfaces, with total pore volumes of 0.

In this study, a novel naphthalene-based covalent organic polymer (N-COP) was synthesized and investigated as an advanced adsorbent for the efficient removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. The polymer was synthesized through a polycondensation reaction between cyanuric chloride and 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene, followed by thorough purification. Comprehensive characterization was performed using Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analysis, and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), confirming the successful formation of the porous polymer with a high surface area and thermal stability.

A facile and efficient method for synthesizing mono- and bi-metallic pincer complexes (3-Ni/Ni and 3-Ni/Pd) has been developed. The procedure involves a 1 : 1 stoichiometric reaction of a -hydroxy POCOP pincer complex with cyanuric chloride in the presence of [NaB(OMe)], which selectively affords the mono-substituted pincer complexes (2-Ni and 2-Pd). These complexes are then further reacted with another equivalent of the -hydroxy POCOP pincer complex to produce the desired multimetallic species (3-Ni/Ni and 3-Ni/Pd).

The determination of isoquinoline alkaloids (IQAs) is crucial for maximizing the pharmacological benefits of Rhizoma coptidis (RC). In this study, the dendritic silica sphere (dSiO) was covalently modified with cyanuric chloride (CNCl) to synthesize a porous dNSiO-CNCl NP. The fluorescence of berberine (Ber), palmatine (Pal), coptisine (Cop), and jatrorrhizine (Jat) was remarkably enhanced by dNSiO-CNCl NP for at least 38-fold, inspiring the accurate determination of the isoquinoline total alkaloids (IQTAs) in RC using fluorometry.

Dendrimer templated ionic liquid nanomagnetic for efficient coupling reactions.

Sci Rep

Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Mazandaran, Babolsar, Iran.

In this research, a logical strategy with a recyclable synthetic perspective of view and a rational design to prepare a nanocatalyst with a dendrimer template containing ionic liquid is presented. Magnetic silica nanoparticles were prepared using the Stober method. Their surface was modified with the help of cyanuric chloride, melamine, and 1-methylimidazole as Linkers.
