This paper introduces a Coriolis mass flow and density sensor. The sensor is made using Surface Channel Technology (SCT) but with selective wet etching to create the channels. This method forms suspended microfluidic channels with a larger cross-sectional area.

Non-Hermitian Theory of Valley Excitons in Two-Dimensional Semiconductors.

Electron-hole exchange interaction in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides is extremely strong due to the dimension reduction, which promises valley-superposed excitonic states with linearly polarized optical emissions. However, strong circular polarization reflecting valley-polarized excitonic states is commonly observed in helicity-resolved optical experiments. Here, we present a non-Hermitian theory of valley excitons by incorporating optical pumping and intrinsic decay, which unveils an anomalous valley-polarized excitonic state with elliptically polarized optical emission.

Accurately assessing flap volume and thickness is a crucial aspect of breast reconstruction using the deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap, especially in challenging cases such as thin or large-breasted women or bilateral reconstruction. To address this, we present an innovative image processing tool utilizing computed tomography angiography (CTA) to measure DIEP flap volume and thickness. Our approach incorporates an elliptical equation validated on DIEP reconstruction patients.

We have computationally demonstrated a new method for generating pure spin current with the photogalvanic effect (PGE) by constructing transport junctions using h-BN/graphene/h-BN van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure leads. It has been observed that the pure spin current without any accompanying charge current induced by the PGE can consistently be obtained, regardless of photon energy and polarization/helicity angle, as well as the specific type of polarization (linear, circular, or elliptical). The mechanism lies in the structural inversion symmetry and real space spin polarization antisymmetry of the junctions.
