Early-life exposures are critical for later child cognitive development. McCarthy Scales of Children's Abilities (MSCA) were used to assess cognitive development of 700 preschoolers (M = 4.2 years), derived from the "Rhea" birth cohort, in Greece. Principal component analysis (PCA) was applied on prospectively collected exposure data. Six components were extracted; five of them were associated with child cognition. Higher parental social status, preschool attendance and less TV watching, nonsmoking during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and parental involvement in child life were protective factors of child cognition at 4 years. Increased child birth order was negatively associated with child cognition. Offspring's size at birth was not associated with any cognitive outcome. These findings reveal the importance of early-life exposures to child cognitive development.

The use of literal prompts (LPs) and inferential prompts (IPs) in shared book reading (SBR) facilitates children's use of language and promotes their thinking and understanding about the stories discussed and beyond. Furthermore, SBR provides a platform for mildly autistic children to have multiple rounds of communication with educators. This study investigated the contribution of LPs and IPs on the language development and affective factors of language learning in mildly autistic children.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the facilitators and barriers of health behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), providing a reference for the development of health behavior interventions programs.
Methods: A qualitative descriptive research design was adopted, and interviews were conducted with 25 patients with T2D. The interview guide was developed based on the health action process approach theory.

With the increasing complexity of urban roads and rising traffic flow, traffic safety has become a critical societal concern. Current research primarily addresses drivers' attention, reaction speed, and perceptual abilities, but comprehensive assessments of cognitive abilities in complex traffic environments are lacking. This study, grounded in cognitive science and neuropsychology, identifies and quantitatively evaluates ten cognitive components related to driving decision-making, execution, and psychological states by analyzing video footage of drivers' actions.

The cockpit is evolving from passive, reactive interaction toward proactive, cognitive interaction, making precise predictions of driver intent a key factor in enhancing proactive interaction experiences. This paper introduces Cockpit-Llama, a novel language model specifically designed for predicting driver behavior intent. Cockpit-Llama predicts driver intent based on the relationship between current driver actions, historical interactions, and the states of the driver and cockpit environment, thereby supporting further proactive interaction decisions.

Microalgae are photosynthetic microorganisms that have a rapid growth cycle and carbon fixation ability. They have diverse cellular structures, ranging from prokaryotic cyanobacteria to more complex eukaryotic forms, which enable them to thrive in a variety of environments and support biomass production. They utilize both photosynthesis and heterotrophic pathways, indicating their ecological importance and potential for biotechnological applications.
