This paper investigates the global pinning synchronization problem for a class of complex networks with aperiodic samplings. Combined with the Writinger-based integral inequality, a new less conservative criterion is presented to guarantee the global pinning synchronization of the complex network. Furthermore, a novel condition is proposed under which the complex network is globally pinning synchronized with a given performance index. It is shown that the performance index has a positive correlation with the upper bound of the sampling intervals. Finally, the validity and the advantage of the theoretic results obtained are verified by means of the applications in Chua's circuit and pendulum.

Our study addresses the pressing global freshwater scarcity crisis by engineering advanced liquid-entrapped nanosurfaces optimized for highly efficient atmospheric water harvesting (AWH). Through a synergistic approach integrating carbon fiber paper (CFP), hydrothermally synthesized nanoneedles (NNs), and silicone oil liquid entrapment (LE) within NNs, we achieved remarkable improvements in water collection efficiency. While CFP captures fog effectively during AWH, it faces challenges with water-pinning effects, mitigated by NNs' improved droplet-spreading properties, leading to a notable 50% increase in harvesting efficiency.

The International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy Particulates Working Group has surveyed the global industry on commonly used regulatory guidance documents pertaining to particulates across various cell and gene therapy (CGT) product-based chemistry and manufacturing controls. Responses were collated from academic and industrially based individuals involved in or making decisions for manufacturing, quality control and analytics. Two surveys covering therapy developers and manufacturing suppliers were created and distributed via e-mail, through focus groups and via social media platforms.

Aliovalent dopant codoped rutile-TiO materials have garnered attention due to their excellent performance properties, characterized by low loss tangent (tanδ), high dielectric permittivity (ε'), and stable ε' over a broad temperature range. This performance is primarily due to the electron-pinned defect-dipoles (EPDDs) of the complex defects [Formula: see text]Ti-[Formula: see text]TiB. Notably, the excellent dielectric properties in ZrTaTiO (Zr-TTO) ceramics can be achieved using the traditional mixed oxide method without the EPDDs, due to the absence of A (acceptor doping ions).
