Purpose: To report a case of transient diplopia and upgaze paresis in the setting of acute dorsal midbrain infarcts from a cervical vertebral artery dissection in an otherwise healthy man.
Observations: A 33-year old man presented to the ophthalmology urgent clinic with a 1 h history of blurred and double vision, asthenopia, and a mild focal left posterior headache. Ocular motility examination revealed a profound upgaze palsy and convergence-retraction horizontal jerk nystagmus in attempted upgaze that gradually improved over the course of 1 h.

Although infection with is generally self-limited, it may cause refractory or life-threatening pneumonia with pulmonary or extrapulmonary complications. Necrotizing bronchitis is a rare condition with a high mortality rate. The present report describes a patient with mycoplasma pneumonia and necrotizing bronchitis that caused airway obstruction.

Tetanus is a severe neurological condition triggered by the toxin of , resulting in extreme muscle stiffness and spasms. Although vaccination can prevent it, without treatment, tetanus carries a high risk of death due to respiratory failure and autonomic disturbances. This case report describes a 24-year-old Indian male who developed tetanus after branding (a traditional procedure for jaundice in rural India) on his wrist.
