Background: Among the different breeds of horses, Asil horses with a five thousand year history have played an important role in human life. This study was designed as a result of the lack of information about the normal radiographic anatomy of this breed.
Materials And Methods: Radiography of the distal phalanx and associated soft tissue structures of the front feet of 10 healthy pure Iranian Arabian horses was performed on lateromedial radiographic projection to determine normal radiographic morphometry of this part. There were no problems in their limbs and in their history.
Results: Obtained radiograph of each front distal phalanx was used to measure important distances, angles and ratios of the hoof wall. There was no significant difference between left and right digits for any radiographic determination.
Conclusions: Measurements of this study differed from those reported in other breeds, so it can be used in the future as reference values for diagnosis of laminitis in front feet of Iranian Arabian horses.

Background: Management of the extensive soft tissue injuries remains a significant challenge in orthopedic and plastic reconstructive surgery. Since the thumb is responsible for 40% of the functions of the hand, saving and reconstructing a mangled thumb is essential for the patient's future.
Case Presentation: This case report describes the management of a severe occupational thumb injury in a 25-year-old white Persian male who sustained an occupational injury to his left thumb, resulting in extensive burn, crush injury to the distal and proximal phalanx, and severe soft tissue damage to the first metacarpal, thenar, and palmar areas.

Chondromyxoid fibroma (CMF) in the foot is a rare condition. We report a case of CMF in a 7-year-old girl, affecting the distal phalanx of the great toe. Radiographs revealed a lytic lesion involving the entire distal phalanx, with destruction of both the medial and lateral cortices, while the articular surfaces remained intact.

In a series of 271 consecutive duplicated thumbs, an angular, hypertrophied epiphysis was detected in 13 thumbs. We propose a revised version of the radial polydactyly classification that includes this pattern as a separate type from triphalangeal thumb.

Background: Calcinosis cutis of hands can progress and impair hand function in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Understanding the natural disease and comprehensive management is crucial.
Objective: To examine clinical course and identify risk factors associated with progressive calcinosis cutis in early SSc.
