The base-modified nucleotide, N -methyladenosine, is a relatively abundant modification found in the mRNA of most higher eukaryotes. Methylation levels can change dependent upon environmental conditions, cell differentiation state, or following knockdown of members of the methylase complex, and it is often useful to directly measure and compare N -methyladenosine levels between samples. Two dimensional chromatography of radiolabeled nucleotides, following specific nuclease treatments, provides a robust, sensitive, and reproducible assay for this modification.

A simple, rapid, and reproducible high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been developed and validated for the determination of β-sitosterol in the pharmaceutical dosage form of moist exposed burn ointment (MEBO). This method involved an effective sample procedure for extraction of β-sitosterol from MEBO using an alkali saponification agent composed of 0.8 N ethanolic NaOH and diethyl ether.

Thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole-2,5-dicarboxylic acid (HThz), a thiazolothiazole (TTz) derivative with carboxylic acid groups, was synthesized as a ligand for the creation of five MOFs, each associated with distinct metal ions including Ag, Mn, Co, Zn, and Cu. The cathodic electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of HThz and the resulting MOFs was investigated. HThz was found to generate ECL signals, but this process was heavily reliant on potassium persulfate (KSO) as a co-reactant.

Efficient monitoring of the enzymatic PET-hydrolysis is crucial for developing novel plastic-degrading biocatalysts. Herein, we aimed to upgrade in terms of accuracy the analytical methods useful for monitoring enzymatic PET-degradation. For the HPLC-based assessment, the incorporation of an internal standard within the analytic procedure enabled a more accurate quantification of the overall TPA content and the assessment of molar distributions and relative content of each aromatic degradation product.

Herein, a novel spectrofluorometric sensor is proposed for the sensitive analysis of two nonfluorescent mucolytic drugs, namely, acetylcysteine (ACT) and carbocisteine (CST), utilizing the newly synthesized 2-[(2-hydroxyethyl)-(2,8,10-trimethylpyrido[2',3':3,4]pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-4-yl)-amino]-ethanol as a fluorescence probe (Flu. Probe). This fluorophore exhibits fluorescence emission at 445 nm upon excitation at 275 nm.

Searching for new alternative to tripropylamine (TPrA) with low toxicity and high chemical stability for the tris(4,4'-dicarboxylic acid-2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium (II) (Ru(dcbpy)) based coreactant electrochemiluminescence (ECL) system is essential for widespread analytical applications. Here, nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (NGQDs) have been discovered to significantly amplify the ECL emission and increase the ECL efficiency of Ru(dcbpy) for the first time.
