Synthesis and Crystal Structures of the First Antimony(III) Aziridinides.

The first antimony(III) aziridinyl derivatives are reported. Treatment of anhydrous SbCl with N-lithioaziridine Li(Azn) (Azn = NCH) afforded the structurally unique heterobimetallic lithium/antimony(III) amide complex [LiSb(μ-Cl)(μ-Azn)(THF)] (1). Homoleptic Sb(Azn) (2) has become available for the first time through an amide group exchange reaction between Sb(NMe) and 3 equiv of aziridine. The low-melting Sb(Azn) exhibits a "weak dimer" structure in the crystal.

A novel series of D-A-D-type 9-phenyl-9-phosphafluorene oxide (PhFlOP) derivatives was prepared and is reported herein. The synthetic protocol involved 5 steps from commercially available 2-bromo-4-fluoro-1-nitrobenzene, featuring a noble-metal-free system, mild reaction conditions, and a good yield, especially for the final CsCO-facilitated nucleophilic substitution (77-91% yield). The characterization data obtained from IR and NMR spectroscopy (H, C, F, and P) as well as HRMS spectrometry were in full agreement with the expected structures, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis was conducted to confirm the structure of compound .

The human heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) A1 is a prototypical RNA-binding protein essential in regulating a wide range of post-transcriptional events in cells. As a multifunctional protein with a key role in RNA metabolism, deregulation of its functions has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases, tumour aggressiveness and chemoresistance, which has fuelled efforts to develop novel therapeutics that modulates its RNA binding activities. Here, using a combination of Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations and graph neural network pockets predictions, we showed that hnRNPA1 N-terminal RNA binding domain (UP1) contains several cryptic pockets capable of binding small molecules.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) combined with polymers as hybrid materials offer numerous advantages such as enhanced performances through synergistic effects at their interface. The primary challenge in developing polymer/MOF hybrid matrix films is ensuring optimal dispersion and strong adhesion of crystalline MOFs to the polymer without aggregation, weak interaction, or phase separation.
