This work presents a comparison of air kerma rate (AKR) measurements performed by multiple radiotherapy centres for a single HDR Ir source. Two separate groups (consisting of 15 centres) performed AKR measurements at one of two host centres in Australia. Each group travelled to one of the host centres and measured the AKR of a single Ir source using their own equipment and local protocols. Results were compared to the Ir source calibration certificate provided by the manufacturer by means of a ratio of measured to certified AKR. The comparisons showed remarkably consistent results with the maximum deviation in measurement from the decay-corrected source certificate value being 1.1%. The maximum percentage difference between any two measurements was less than 2%. The comparisons demonstrated the consistency of well-chambers used for Ir AKR measurements in Australia, despite the lack of a local calibration service, and served as a valuable focal point for the exchange of ideas and dosimetry methods.

Background: Hippocampal atrophy is an established biomarker of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's disease, affecting specific subfields (De Flores, La Joie and Chételat, 2015). In this study, we used 7T MRI and advanced diffusion MRI (dMRI) to investigate the relationship between hippocampal subfield volumes and microstructure and assess their sensitivity to cognitive impairment.
Method: Seventeen cognitively impaired (CI; age: 69±8, M/F: 12/5, MMSE: 28) and 22 cognitively unimpaired subjects (CU; age: 62±10, M/F: 6/16) were recruited in the context of the COSCODE project (Ribaldi et al.

Purpose: To examine the overall reading levels of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction online patient education materials (OPEMs) written in English and Spanish.
Methods: We conducted Google searches for OPEMs using "ACL surgery" and "" as English and Spanish search terms, respectively. Several measures of readability were used to analyze 25 English-language OPEMs (Flesch Reading Ease, Flesch Reading Ease Grade Level, Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, Coleman-Liau Index, Gunning Fog Index, and Simple Measure of Gobbledygook) and 25 Spanish-language OPEMs (Fernández-Huerta Index, Fernández-Huerta Grade Level, and Índice de Legibilidad de Flesch-Szigriszt).

Purpose: To compare lateral center-edge angle (LCEA) and Tönnis angle (TA) values measured in radiographs and computed tomography (CT) scans with commercially available software and to determine the degree of concurrence in the classification of acetabular dysplasia as depicted in radiographs and CT scans.
Methods: Retrospectively collected data from patients undergoing preoperative CT protocol and x-rays for hip arthroscopy from June 2019 to December 2021. The preoperative anteroposterior supine view of the pelvis was utilized to measure LCEA and TA, and measurements were compared to CT scan views through commercially available software.

Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has been identified as a top priority for discovering a reliable biomarker for treatment improvement and patient outcome prediction due to the heterogeneous nature of AML and the obstacle to find an appropriate treatment strategy for this malignancy. Considering the involvement of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) SNHG7 and BGL3 found in various cancers, the exact expression pattern of these lncRNAs and their clinical implications in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) continue to be elusive. In order to demonstrate a possible mechanism underlying AML pathogenesis, our goal was to examine BGL3 and SNHG7 lncRNA expressions in PI3K pathway.
