This work proposes a novel geometry field effect transistor with graphene as a channel-graphene field-effect transistor (GFET), having a hybrid contact that consists of an ohmic source/drain and its extended part towards the gate, which is capacitively coupled to the channel. The ohmic contacts are used for direct current (DC) biasing, whereas their capacitive extension reduces access region length and provides the radio frequency (RF) signal a low impedance path. Minimization of the access region length, along with the paralleling of ohmic contact's resistance and resistive part of capacitively coupled contact's impedance, lower the overall source/drain resistance, which results in an increase in current gain cut-off frequency, . The DC and high-frequency characteristics of the two chosen conventional baseline GFETs, and their modified versions with proposed hybrid contacts, have been extensively studied, compared, and analyzed using numerical and analytical techniques.

The COVID-19 pandemic had wide impacts and repercussions for the NHS in the UK beyond the acute medical sector. This qualitative study evaluates the experience of medical (4) and non-medical prescribers (7) plus other staff (2 recovery workers; 2 community pharmacists) involved in opioid substitution therapy (OST) in a southern English county during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. Remote contact and a shift to predominantly weekly OST pick-up were anxiety-producing for clinicians, especially during the first lockdown.

Activation of rac-MeSi(η-Ind)ZrMe (SBIZrMe) and sheet models for MAO, (MeAlO)(MeAl) (6,4), (MeAlO)(MeAl) (7,5), and (MeAlO)(MeAl) (26,9) was studied DFT. These activators can reversibly form an outer-sphere ion-pair (OSIP) [SBIZrMeAlMe] [(MeAlO)(MeAl)Me] 3 ([,] = [7,4]and [26,8]) or a contact ion-pair (CIP) SBIZrMe-μ-Me-6,4 (2b) from SBIZrMe. Dissociation of MeAl from 3 to form CIP SBIZrMe-μ-Me-, (2) is generally unfavourable but reversible in toluene continuum.

In this study, an advanced nanofiber breast cancer model was developed and systematically characterized including physico-chemical, cell-biological and biophysical parameters. Using electrospinning, the architecture of tumor-associated collagen signatures (TACS5 and TACS6) was mimicked. By employing a rotating cylinder or static plate collector set-up, aligned fibers (TACS5-like structures) and randomly orientated fibers (TACS6-like structures) fibers were produced, respectively.

Mathematical models are not integrated into the policy‑making process in low‑ and middle‑income countries, including India, primarily due to limited capacity in building mathematical models, lack of trust in the model findings and the reluctance of policy‑makers to apply the model findings to formulate policies. There is a perceived need to create a critical mass of trained infectious disease experts and modelers within the public health and clinical domain. Thus, with the support of the Department of Health Research (DHR), we developed a 3‑month post‑graduate (PG) certificate course on infectious disease modelling, the first of such a course in India.

Hybrid environmentally friendly nanocomposite films were synthesized via electrospinning using polycaprolactone (PCL) and chitosan (CH). The resulting nanofiber films displayed a homogeneous fibrous microstructure with average diameters between 250-270 nm. Molecular simulation experiments revealed a progressive increase in hydrogen bonding over time.
