In this study, we present the synthesis of new, stereodefined allylboronic acids employed to investigate the stereochemistry of the Cu-catalyzed cross-coupling of allylboronic acids with α-diazoketones. According to our results, this reaction proceeds with retention of the relative configuration of the allylboronic acid substrate. We suggest that the stereoinduction step involves a syn S2'-type transmetalation of the allylboronic acid substrate with a Cu-carbene species.

Background: The usefulness of circulating free DNA (cfDNA), nuclear DNA (nDNA) and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) as potential biomarkers in cancer remains controversial.

Objective: To determine the concentration of cfDNA and plasma nDNA and mtDNA levels in breast cancer (BC) patients.

Material And Methods: This study included a total of 86 women (69 patients with BC and 17 women as a control group).

Background: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) comprise thousands of fluorinated chemicals. They are of growing concern because many PFAS compounds are persistent and toxic. Food contact materials (FCM) containing PFAS pose multiple exposure pathways to humans, prompting twelve states to enact laws banning FCM with PFAS levels exceeding 100 ppm of TOF.

Polyphenols are known to interact with starch to form the V-type inclusion complex or the noninclusive complex. It is hypothesized that the addition of polyphenols could improve the properties of Chinese yam (Dioscorea opposita Thunb.) starch, and the properties of the complexes could be regulated by controlling the additive amount of polyphenols.

This study aimed to investigate the potential hypoglycemic mechanism of red ginseng acidic polysaccharides (RGAP) from the perspective of fatty acid (FA) regulation. A high-glucose/high-fat diet in conjunction with streptozotocin administration was employed to establish type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) rat models, and their fecal FAs were detected using the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method. RGAP treatment alleviated the polyphagia, polydipsia, weight loss, and hyperglycemia observed in T2DM rats.
