Carcinoma of the male breast is responsible for less than 1% of all malignancies in men, but the prognosis is poor. Being diagnosed at an older age and advanced stage both affect the prognosis. Surgical treatment of elderly patients with co-morbid diseases is challenging. Unfortunately, these patients do not receive chemotherapy due to poor overall status. Mastectomy with local anesthesia may be an option for these patients. We aimed to present an elderly male patient who underwent successful mastectomy and axillary dissection under local anesthesia.

Background: The main surgical interventions for chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) include craniotomy for hematoma evacuation, neuroendoscopic hematoma evacuation, and burr hole drainage. However, elderly patients often present with significant comorbidities, which limit their ability to tolerate general anesthesia and invasive surgical procedures.Minimally invasive soft-channel drainage under local anesthesia has emerged as a viable alternative, particularly suitable for elderly patients or those with high surgical risk.

Objective: Aim: To compare the effectiveness of tumescent anesthesia and regional anesthesia under ultrasound guidance in terms of their impact on nociceptive and stress systems, as well as systemic hemodynamics, in patients with chronic venous disease of the lower extremities, undergoing surgical treatment.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Fifty patients (average age 48 ±15 years; 19 [38 %] males and 31 [62 %] females) with chronic venous disease of the lower extremities, who underwent surgical treatment (endovenous laser ablation and miniphlebectomy on one limb), were examined. Twenty-five patients (main group) underwent surgery under femoral nerve block with 150 mg of lidocaine and sciatic nerve block (popliteal fossa) with 150 mg of lidocaine under ultrasound guidance.
High expression of cellular self-activated immunosuppressive molecules and extensive infiltration of suppressive immune cells in the tumor microenvironment are the main factors contributing to glioma's resistance to immunotherapy. Nonetheless, technology to modify the expression of glioma cellular self-molecules through gene editing requires further development. This project advances cell therapy strategies to reverse the immunosuppressive microenvironment of glioma (TIME).

Hard-to-heal wounds represent a global and growing medical and economic burden. Skin autografting is a useful treatment option but is often limited by donor site morbidity, logistical considerations, and grafting success in compromised wound beds. Combining autologous skin cell suspension (ASCS) technology with minced dermal grafts can allow for dermal elements and epithelial healing as well as closed donor sites.

Purpose: The C4 dermatome anesthesia holds significance for arthroscopic shoulder surgery. However, the reliability of achieving C4 dermatome anesthesia with the current low-dose ultrasound-guided interscalene block (ISB) and supraclavicular block (SCB) remains uncertain. This prospective, single-center study examined the effects of ultrasound-guided interscalene block (ISB) and supraclavicular block (SCB) on the C4 sensory dermatome in patients undergoing shoulder, hand, or wrist surgery.
