We present a versatile synthesis of the eukaryotic signaling peptide glorin as well as glorinamide, a synthetic analog. The ability of these compounds to activate glorin-induced genes in the social amoeba was evaluated by quantitative reverse transcription PCR, whereby both compounds showed bioactivity comparable to a glorin standard. This synthetic route will be useful in conducting detailed structure-activity relationship studies as well as in the design of chemical probes to dissect glorin-mediated signaling pathways.

Hubei Key Laboratory for Precision Synthesis of Small Molecule Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for the Synthesis and Application of Organic Functional Molecules, School of Material Science and Engineering, Hubei University, Wuhan 430062, China. Electronic address:

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the adhesive, conductive hydrogel on wound healing when used as a therapeutic dressing. Herein, a dressing of PVA/QCS/TP@Fe (PQTF) was designed and prepared integrating polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), chitosan quaternary ammonium salt (QCS), tea polyphenol (TP), and ferric ions (Fe) by a simple one-pot and freeze-thaw method. In view of the comprehensive properties of PQTF hydrogel, including adhesion, electrical conductivity, and swelling performance, PQTF was selected for subsequent in vitro and in vivo healing promotion studies.

Electronic address:

Chitosan (CS) is a versatile polysaccharide with numerous inherent biological activity, while the lack of amphiphilicity limits its application in emulsion-based systems. In this study, erythorbyl myristate (EM) with interfacial activity was chemically modified to 5-O-succinyl EM (EMS) and grafted onto CS to improve the emulsifying properties. The grafting reaction was conducted by the catalysis of protease, with the progress of the reaction monitored by HPLC analysis and UV absorbance measurement.

Organic semiconducting polymers play a pivotal role in the development of field-effect transistors (OFETs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), owing to their cost-effectiveness, structural versatility, and solution processability. However, achieving polymers with both high charge carrier mobility (μ) and photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (Φ) remains a challenge. In this work, we present the design and synthesis of a novel donor-acceptor π-conjugated polymer, TTIF-BT, featuring a di-Thioeno[3,2-b] ThioenoIndeno[1,2-b] Fluorene (TTIF) backbone as the donor component.
