Introduction: Clinicians are the conduits of high-quality care delivery. Clinicians have driven advancements in pharmacotherapeutics, devices, and related interventions and improved morbidity and mortality in patients with congestive heart failure over the past decade. Yet, the management of congestive heart failure has become extraordinarily complex and has fueled recommendations from the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology to optimize the composition of the care team to reduce the health, economic, and the health system burden of high lengths of stay and hospital charges.

Aim Preventing leaving-without-being-seen (LWBS) in children is crucial due to their inability to seek medical care independently. Because there are no studies of LWBS in Japan, the extent of this problem in Japan and its impacts on healthcare are uncertain. The present study seeks to fill this gap by investigating LWBS after triage and identifying the associated factors.

Unlabelled: Nitrogen (N) fixation in association with mosses could be a key source of new N in tropical montane cloud forests since these forests maintain high humidity levels and stable temperatures, both of which are important to N fixation. Here, nutrient availability could be a prominent control of N fixation processes. However, the mechanisms and extent of these controls, particularly in forests at different successional stages, remains unknown to date.

Objective: The optimal timing of bypass surgery for patients with moyamoya disease (MMD) or moyamoya syndrome (MMS) following an acute stroke episode remains unclear, mainly owing to the risk of postoperative complications. In this study, we aim to validate the safety and efficacy of early intervention using multiple burr hole (MBH) and erythropoietin (EPO) therapy, thereby refining the management strategy for patients with acute stroke episode of MMD or MMS.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data from 70 patients with MMD or MMS who underwent MBH and EPO therapy.

Traditional obesity-related public health messaging often includes physical activity (PA) recommendations. However, at the population level, the data are conflicting, especially when comparing different self-reported vs measured techniques across different settings and populations. We measured the association between moderate-to-vigorous intensity PA (MVPA) and prospective weight change across five African-origin populations and the extent to which MVPA attenuated weight change over time.
