Obesity is a major health crisis resulting in comorbidities such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and obstructive sleep apnea. The need for safe and efficacious drugs to help assist with weight loss and reduce cardiometabolic risk factors is great. With several FDA-approved drugs on the market, there is still a great need to develop long-term obesity treatments or noninvasive oral agents to help assist individuals with obesity when used in conjunction with lifestyle modifications.

Esophago-jejunal anastomoses fistula could be mortal. Currently there is a wide therapeutic measure ranging from conservative management, endoscopic therapy and surgery. Endoscopic management has been positioned above other strategies due to minimal invasion which improves survival and reduces mortality.

Study Design: Narrative review OBJECTIVES: Sir Ludwig Guttmann realised spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation should incorporate more than a biomedical approach if SCI patients were to adjust to their injury and achieve productive social re-integration. He introduced components into rehabilitation he believed would assist his patients build physical strength as well as psychological resilience that would help them re-engage with their communities. We pay tribute to Sir Ludwig by presenting research that has focussed on psychosocial factors that contribute to adjustment dynamics after SCI.

T cell exhaustion is a state of dysfunction that can occur due to persistent exposure to antigens, such as in the tumor microenvironment. The progressive loss of effector functions in exhausted T cells can lead to resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors and adoptive cell immunotherapies.
