Coronary tree matching is applied to plan percutaneous vascular procedures. This work, which allows following each segment of non-isomorphic coronary trees over time, precedes the determination of the best 2D angiography view from C-arm acquisition system for angioplasty procedure. To match two 3D coronary trees which represent two successive cardiac phases, we adapted a reference inexact tree matching algorithm based on association graph and maximum clique. To improve the pair-wise matching performance of our approach, artificial nodes are introduced to take into account the topology variation between 3D vascular trees. Different similarity measures using tree characteristics and geometric features of coronary branches are evaluated and compared to our previous work.

Trees in the genus Populus synthesize sticky and fragrant resins to protect dormant leaf buds during winter. These resins contain diverse phenolic metabolites, in particular hydroxycinnamate esters and methylated flavonoids. P.

Changes in temperature and precipitation are already influencing US forests and that will continue in the future even as we mitigate climate change. Using spatiotemporally matched data for mean annual temperature (MAT) and mean annual precipitation (MAP), we used simulated annealing to estimate critical thresholds for changes in the growth and survival of roughly 150 tree species (153 spp. for growth, 159 spp.

This study first investigated how the probability of winning collision events is affected by technical characteristics among world-class, international female rugby union players, and second, whether enhanced performance of these technical characteristics was related to physical attributes. Carry and tackle events from 16 international matches played by a top-two world ranking team were coded according to technical characteristics and performance outcomes. Binary classification tree models revealed that carry performance was successfully predicted ( < 0.

Background: Fast and reliable species identification of black flies is essential for research proposes and effective vector control. Besides traditional identification based on morphology, which is usually supplemented with molecular methods, geometric morphometrics (GM) has emerged as a promising tool for identification. Despite its potential, no specific GM techniques have been established for the identification of black fly species.

The Green Heart Project is a controlled, community-based clinical trial to evaluate the effects of increasing greenery on community health. The study was initiated in 2018 in a low-to-middle-income residential area of nearly 30,000 racially diverse residents in Louisville, KY. Community engagement was maintained throughout the project, with feedback integrated into its design and implementation.
