Purpose: To demonstrate the utility of swept-source anterior segment optical coherence tomography (SS-AS-OCT) in guiding placement of transconjunctival sutures in hypotonous patients after a trabeculectomy.
Patients And Methods: This is a longitudinal case series of 10 eyes from 10 patients who required transconjunctival sutures after a trabeculectomy. SS-AS-OCT was used to aid in the placement of the sutures to improve the function of the overfiltering bleb.
Results: SS-AS-OCT reliably identified localized areas of overfiltering, allowing for targeted suture placement in 8 eyes. The 2 eyes in which localized areas of overfiltering were not found required further surgical intervention.
Conclusions: SS-AS-OCT enhances transconjunctival suturing for overfiltering blebs when focal fluid accumulation is visualized.

Background: Previous research on spinal alignment and postoperative outcomes after cervical and upper thoracic fixation has suggested that clinical and patient-reported outcomes are improved when certain anatomical parameters are maintained. These parameters include the cervical sagittal vertical axis (cSVA), C2 and T1 slopes, and cervical lordosis (CL). For patients with primary and metastatic tumors involving the subaxial cervical and/or upper thoracic spine, there is minimal guidance on how to apply these parameters.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the correlation between specific clinical parameters, such as axial eye length, and the onset of ocular hypertension "OH" following the use of silicone oil filling in patients with high myopia.
Method: In this retrospective analysis, we reviewed 214 eyes from 432 patients diagnosed with severe myopia, all of whom underwent vitrectomy and were treated with silicone oil filling. The study aimed to document the incidence and timing of postoperative ocular hypertension "OH" while assessing various factors, including demographic details, medical history, additional surgical interventions, and findings from supplementary examinations (such as axial length, silicone oil emulsification, and anterior chamber penetration).

Purpose: This study aims to compare and evaluate the correlation and agreement among three distinct anterior segment analysis systems in measuring anterior chamber depth (ACD) in healthy myopic individuals.
Methods: Myopic patients who underwent preoperative assessments at our hospital's refractive surgery department from January 2021 to December 2023 were included in this investigation. ACD was measured using three anterior segment analysis systems: Pentacam, Sirius, and IOLMaster 700.

The eye is considered to be an immune-privileged region. However, several parts of the eye have distinct mechanisms for delivering immune cells to the injury sites or even in response to aging. Although these immune responses are intended to be protective, the visual acuity can be compromised by the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines by immune cells, which induce chronic inflammation and fibrosis.
