Objective: This study aimed to compare the biomechanics of implant prostheses and peri-implant bone among 6 different mandibular reconstruction models based on patient data involving the use of an upper free-end double-barrel fibula.
Methods: This study was an observational study. Five models were reconstructed using fibular-supported and implant-supported partial dentures.

The design and implementation of successful rotational flaps of the scalp remains a complex process. There are several described techniques, all of which are based on a two-dimension surface, absent consideration of the convexity, and thereby three-dimensional nature of the scalp. This has contributed to flaps that are either too small or unnecessarily large in a bid to compensate.

Respiratory diseases represent a significant healthcare burden, as evidenced by the devastating impact of COVID-19. Biophysical models offer the possibility to anticipate system behavior and provide insights into physiological functions, advancements which are comparatively and notably nascent when it comes to pulmonary mechanics research. In this context, an Inverse Finite Element Analysis (IFEA) pipeline is developed to construct the first continuously ventilated three-dimensional structurally representative pulmonary model informed by both organ- and tissue-level breathing experiments from a cadaveric human lung.

In urban concentrated area, the disturbance caused by construction affects significantly the sustainability of adjacent existing structures. It is essential to capture the mechanical response of existing structures to adjacent deep excavation. The objective of this paper is to investigate the displacement and internal force behavior of elevated bridge piles (BP) subject to influence of deep excavation.

Background: Tibial bone fractures in the malleolar regions are a major concern during the early postoperative period of total ankle replacement (TAR), affecting patient outcomes such as stability and recovery. Design, placement, and anatomic misalignment of implant components can contribute to malleolar fractures. The aim of this study is to understand the influence of implant design features, including keel, peg, stem, and bar type design, and bone-implant interfacial conditions on malleolar fracture following TAR.
