The Goal: To investigate the expression of Yes-associated protein (YAP) in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and its clinical/prognostic significance.
Procedures: The expression of YAP protein was evaluated in tissue microarray by immunohistochemistry. Correlation between YAP expression and clinicopathological characteristics of renal cell carcinoma was analyzed.
Results: Downregulation of YAP protein was observed in ccRCC samples (=0.0311). Downregulation of YAP expression was correlated with higher T classification, higher clinical stage, and poorer differentiation (<0.05).
Conclusions: Downregulation of YAP in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) may contribute to poor prognosis and progressive features.

Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is a clinical entity characterized by progressive inflammation and irreversible fibrosis of the pancreas, which ultimately leads to exocrine and/or endocrine insufficiency as well as an increased risk of pancreatic cancer. Liposarcoma is one of the most prevalent forms of soft tissue sarcoma, and its prognosis is highly dependent on its molecular subtypes.
