Desmoplastic giant congenital melanocytic nevus (DGCN) is an uncommon variant of congenital nevus, presenting as a progressive induration and hypopigmentation of the lesion that occasionally causes hair loss and even total or partial disappearance of the nevus. A 6-month-old girl with a giant congenital melanocytic nevus that involved the entire posterior side of the right thigh was seen in our department. Nine months later, the peripheral area of the nevus presented as a marked induration with hypopigmentation. Dermoscopy demonstrated a reticular pattern exclusively located in the perifollicular areas, with a radial distribution from the follicular ostium that mimicked a "sky full of stars." We report a case of DGCN, including a dermoscopic description of the findings noted in the indurated and hypopigmented areas that appear as a "sky full of stars" image.

It has long been established that axions could have been produced within the nascent proto-neutron star formed following the type II supernova SN1987A, escaped the star due to their weak interactions, and then converted to gamma rays in the Galactic magnetic fields; the nonobservation of a gamma-ray flash coincident with the neutrino burst leads to strong constraints on the axion-photon coupling for axion masses m_{a}≲10^{-10} eV. In this Letter, we use SN1987A to constrain higher mass axions, all the way to m_{a}∼10^{-3} eV, by accounting for axion production from the Primakoff process, nucleon bremsstrahlung, and pion conversion along with axion-photon conversion on the still-intact magnetic fields of the progenitor star. Moreover, we show that gamma-ray observations of the next Galactic supernova, leveraging the magnetic fields of the progenitor star, could detect quantum chromodynamics axions for masses above roughly 50 μeV, depending on the supernova.

A Moon-based Earth observation multispectral camera provides a unique perspective for observing large-scale Earth phenomena. This study focuses on the analysis of the field of view (FOV) for such a sensor. Unlike space-borne sensors, the analysis of the FOV for a Moon-based sensor takes into account not only Earth's maximum apparent diameter as seen from the lunar surface but also the Earth's and the solar trajectory in the lunar sky, as well as the pointing accuracy and pointing adjustment temporal intervals of the turntable.

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF)-based electroluminescence (EL) devices adopting a host/guest strategy in their emitting layer (EML) are capable of realizing high efficiency. However, TADF emitters composed of donor and acceptor moieties as guests dispersed in organic host materials containing a donor and/or an acceptor are subject to donor-acceptor (D-A) interactions. In addition, electron delocalization between neighboring emitter molecules could form different species of aggregates.
