This article series provides a literature review of the disease-specific probiotic strains studied in published clinical trials in humans and animals. The goal of the series is to provide clinically useful tools. The table design allows for quick access to supportive data and will be helpful as a guide for both researchers and clinicians. The first article (part 1) focused on mental health and neurological conditions. This second article (part 2) explores cultured and fermented foods that are commonly available in the United States. Future articles will review conditions related to cardiometabolic and fatigue syndromes; ear, nose, throat, respiratory, and infectious diseases; immune and dermatological conditions; cancer; gastrointestinal and genitourinary; followed by an article focused on probiotic supplements. This literature review is specific to disease conditions, probiotic classification, and individual strains. In part 1, we explored foods, brands, bacterial strains, and the number of organisms at end of production (in colony-forming units). In part 2, we investigate many of the commercially available cultured and fermented probiotic rich foods that are currently available in the United States. This summary can serve as a quick reference guide for recommending probiotic rich foods to patients.

Background: Jersey milk, known for its high protein content, is an excellent base for yogurt production. Given that Jersey milk is derived from Jersey cows, this study was to isolate probiotics from Jersey cow feces and investigate their potential as alternative starter cultures for fermenting Jersey milk. When cellular ageing is accelerated by various extrinsic/endogenous stimuli, regenerative function deteriorates, and enriched secretomes, such as the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), contribute to chronic inflammation and cause matrix degeneration. SASPs from senescent fibroblasts exacerbate cellular senescence via autocrine signalling and also accelerate skin ageing through the induction of neighbouring cell senescence via paracrine signalling. The interaction between dermis fibroblasts and their neighbours, adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) in the hypodermis, which lies deep in the dermis, is a potential target for skin ageing.

Objective: To investigate the physiological characteristics of subspecies (Bti) with double mutations of and genes and to assess the activity of Bti against larvae of under different external factors, so as to provide the theoretical evidence for the use of engineered bacteria of Bti for effective mosquito control.
Methods: wild-type strain Bt-59 and Bt-59 strain with mutation [Bt-59 (Δ)] were cultured in nutrient broth media for 24 hours, and Bt-59 strains with mutation [Bt-59 (Δ)] and double mutations of and [Bt-59 (Δ)] were cultured in nutrient broth media for 48 hours. Then, 5 μL of culture media were transferred to glass sides, and cell morphology and mother cell lysis were observed under an optical microscope.
