Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is associated with well-established metabolic risk factors, especially hyperlipidemia and obesity. Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (mIRI) significantly offsets the therapeutic efficacy of revascularization. Previous studies indicated that disrupted lipid homeostasis can lead to lipid peroxidation damage and inflammation, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Background/objectives: Hyperlipidemia is a serious risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and liver steatosis. In this work, we explored the effect of an herbal formula (CBF) containing immature pods and extracts on lipid metabolism disorders and lipoprotein-rich plasma (LRP) oxidation in mice.
Methods: The phenolic composition was determined using HPLC-DAD analysis.

: Diabetes has become one of the most challenging public health problems due to the alarming increase in prevalence and the morbidity and mortality attributed to its acute and chronic complications. This study aimed to investigate the development of chronic microvascular complications in sulfonylureas-treated diabetic patients and their correlations with glycemic control, risk factors and duration of the disease. : This study included 200 patients that presented to "Providența" Medical Center, Iași.

Background: Although mortality from myocardial infarction (MI) has declined worldwide due to advancements in emergency medical care and evidence-based pharmacological treatments, MI remains a significant contributor to global cardiovascular morbidity. This study aims to examine the risk factors associated with individuals who have experienced an MI in Türkiye.
Methods: Microdata obtained from the Türkiye Health Survey conducted by Turkish Statistical Institute in 2019 were used in this study.

Background: Acute non-traumatic chest pain is one of the common complaints in the emergency department and is closely associated with fatal disease. Triage assessment urgently requires the use of simple, rapid tools to screen patients with chest pain for high-risk condition to improve patient outcomes.
Methods: After data preprocessing and feature selection, univariate and multiple logistic regression analyses were performed to identify potential predictors associated with acute non-traumatic chest pain.
