The secure base script (SBS) framework is one method of assessing implicit internal working models of attachment; recently, researchers have applied this method to analyze narratives regarding relationship experiences. This study examines the associations between attachment avoidance and SBS content when parents recall a positive moment of connection between themselves and their children (relational savoring) as well as their association with parental emotion and reflective functioning (RF). Using a sample of parents (N = 155, 92% female) of young children (53% boys, M = 12.76 months), we found that parental attachment avoidance is inversely associated with SBS content during relational savoring, and that SBS content is an indirect effect explaining the association between attachment avoidance and postsavoring (positive and negative) emotion as well as avoidance and poststressor RF. Findings have implications for understanding attachment and parenting.

Based on the literature indicating that emotional abuse erodes children's secure attachment bonds, this study aimed to examine a mediation model positing that insecure attachment (anxious and/or avoidant styles) would mediate the association between childhood emotional abuse and rejection sensitivity (rejection and acceptance expectancies), which, in turn, will be associated with a fear of intimacy. One hundred and eighty members of the Israeli public aged 21-30 who were in relationships participated in the study. The results showed that avoidant and anxious attachment mediated the relationship between childhood emotional abuse and a fear of intimacy, acceptance expectancy mediated the relationship between avoidant and anxious attachment and a fear of intimacy, anxious attachment mediated the relationship between childhood emotional abuse and both rejection and acceptance expectancies, and avoidant attachment mediated the relationship between childhood emotional abuse and acceptance expectancy.

Pursuing a target by wheel-legged mobile robot using NMPC while optimizing obstacles passing.

ISA Trans

December 2024

Robotic Research Laboratory, Centre of Excellence in Experimental Solid Mechanics and Dynamics, School of Mechanical Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran 16846-13114, Iran.

In this paper, trajectory tracking control as the pursuit of a specific target by wheel-legged mobile robots (WLMRs) in an environment with the presence of obstacles is presented. These types of robots are designed to navigate different paths such as slippery trajectories, paths with obstacles, and other challenging paths. In addition, the robot can move its legs in different surface conditions and operate more flexibly with the help of wheels attached to the legs.

The impact of retraction cords on the gingival margin level: A randomized clinical trial.

J Prosthodont

January 2025

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Periodontology, School of Dentistry, University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan.

Purpose: To examine the impact of placing plain and impregnated retraction cords for two different retraction times on the postoperative gingival margin level and periodontal health.

Materials And Methods: A total of 40 endodontically treated mandibular first molars were selected and randomly allocated into four groups (n = 10/group); A: plain retraction cord for 10 min, B: plain retraction cord, 20 min, C: impregnated (25% aluminum chloride (AlCl) retraction cord, 10 min, D: impregnated retraction cord (25% AlCl), 20 min. Intraoral digital scans were acquired, and periodontal parameters (Plaque index [PI], Bleeding on probing [BOP], and probing depth [PD]) were assessed at baseline, 7 days, and 28 days after retraction.

Animals must avoid adhesion to objects in the environment to maintain their mobility and independence. The marine invertebrate chordate ascidians are characterized by an acellular matrix tunic enveloping their entire body for protection and swimming. The tunic of ascidian larvae consists of a surface cuticle layer and inner matrix layer.

Removal of Subretinal Gas After Pneumatic Retinopexy Under Air Using External Manipulation.

Retin Cases Brief Rep

January 2025

The Retina Service of Wills Eye Hospital, Wills Eye Physicians-Mid Atlantic Retina, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA.

Purpose: To illustrate a technique for the removal of subretinal gas via pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with air-fluid exchange and simultaneous manipulation with scleral depression.

Methods: PPV to remove subretinal gas causing persistent macula-off retinal detachment was performed in one eye, and the results were evaluated in this case report. Ports were carefully placed to avoid puncturing the retina, which was significantly displaced anteriorly past the ora serrata due to the buoyancy of the subretinal gas with the patient in a supine position.
