Suppression of Interfacial Oxidation in Core/Shell InP Quantum Dots through Solvent Assisted Core-Etching Strategy for Efficient Green Light-Emitting Diodes.

Nano Lett

Key Laboratory of Advanced Display and System Applications Education of Ministry, Shanghai University, 149 Yanchang Road, Shanghai 200072, China.

Indium phosphide (InP) quantum dots (QDs) are promising alternative heavy-metal CdSe QDs for light-emitting diode (LED) application. However, their highly reactive core surface is prone to oxidation, which reduces the photoluminescence quantum yield (PL QY) and impedes subsequent shell growth. Traditional etching methods using HF aqueous solution are problematic as water can induce reoxidation during or after etching.

Dual-resonance optical fiber lossy mode resonance immunoprobe for serum PSA detection.

Biosens Bioelectron

December 2024

School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, Tianjin, 300072, China.

Biomarker detection has emerged as an essential complementary approach for early-stage screening of tumors. Conventional methods are constrained by bulky systems, cumbersome operation steps, and low detection accuracy. Here, we demonstrate a dual-resonance optimally configured lossy mode resonance (LMR) immunoprobe for detecting prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a biomarker for prostate cancer (PCa).

Department of Occupational Medicine, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Linkou, Taoyuan, Taiwan; College of Medicine, Chang Gung University, Taiwan; Master of Science Degree Program in Innovation for Smart Medicine, Chang Gung University, Taiwan. Electronic address:

Background: Indium, a rare heavy metal, extensively used in flat panel display manufacturing, poses potential respiratory health risks to workers. Preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm), a term describing nonobstructive lung function abnormalities, is associated with adverse health outcomes. Despite known risks, the relationship between serum indium levels and PRISm remains underexplored.

State-of-the-art Investigation on the Role of Indium, Terbium, Yttrium, and Lanthanum in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss.

Biol Trace Elem Res

December 2024

Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

We aimed to explore the role of Indium (In), Terbium (Tb), Yttrium (Y), and Lanthanum (La) in the serum of women with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and compare them to controls. Additionally, the study aimed to examine the relationship between REE levels and oxidative DNA damage, to identify potential risk factors contributing to RPL. This case-control study included 30 RPL cases and 30 controls with uncomplicated pregnancy.

Addressing Mobility Overestimation in Short-Channel IGZO TFTs Using the Gated Van der Pauw Method.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

November 2024

Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Inha University, Incheon 22212, Republic of Korea.

The determination of field-effect mobility in indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) is pivotal for advancing high-performance electronic devices. However, accurately evaluating the field-effect mobility in IGZO-TFTs with short channel lengths of less than a few micrometers poses a formidable challenge. This difficulty arises due to the increasing significance of contact resistance in the total resistance as the channel length decreases.
