Neurotensin (NT), a bioactive tridecapeptide aids in diabetic wound healing by modulating inflammation and angiogenesis. However, its rapid degradation in peptidase-rich wound environment (plasma half-life <2 min) limits its efficacy. To address this, neurotensin-conjugated polymeric porous microparticles (NT-PMP) were developed and loaded in gelatin (hydrogel 15% w/v) for topical application, enabling sustained NT release to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Recently, Conte et al. generalized the longest-common prefix (LCP) array from strings to Wheeler DFAs, and they showed that it can be used to efficiently determine matching statistics on a Wheeler DFA [DCC 2023]. However, storing the LCP array requires bits, being the number of states, while the compact representation of Wheeler DFAs often requires much less space.

Variation in the strength of synapses can be quantified by measuring the anatomical properties of synapses. Quantifying precision of synaptic plasticity is fundamental to understanding information storage and retrieval in neural circuits. Synapses from the same axon onto the same dendrite have a common history of coactivation, making them ideal candidates for determining the precision of synaptic plasticity based on the similarity of their physical dimensions.

Emerging resistance of fungal pathogens and challenges faced in drug development have prompted renewed investigations into novel antifungal lipopeptides. The antifungal lipopeptide AF reported here is a natural lipopeptide isolated and purified from Bacillus subtilis. The AF lipopeptide's secondary structure, functional groups, and the presence of amino acid residues typical of lipopeptides were determined by circular dichroism, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Mono and Dinuclear Palladium Pincer Complexes of NNSe Ligand as a Catalyst for Decarboxylative Direct C-H Heteroarylation of (Hetero)arenes.

Chem Asian J

October 2023

ISC Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, School of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy, Central University of Rajasthan, NH-8, Bandarsindri, Ajmer, Rajasthan, 305817, India.

This report describes the synthesis of a new NNSe pincer ligand and its mono- and dinuclear palladium(II) pincer complexes. In the absence of a base, a dinuclear palladium pincer complex (C1) was isolated, while in the presence of Et N base a mononuclear palladium pincer complex (C2) was obtained. The new ligand and complexes were characterized using techniques like H, C{ H} nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), fourier transform infrared (FTIR), high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Visible), and cyclic voltammetry.
