The flat band potentials and carrier densities of spin coated and sprayed MAPbI, FACsPbI, and MAPbBr perovskite films were determined using the Mott-Schottky relation. The films developed a space charge layer and exhibited p-type conduction with a carrier concentration of ∼10 cm for spin coated films. Electrochemical impedance spectra showed typical space charge impedance at frequencies >1 kHz, and an exceptional high capacitance at frequency <1 kHz owing to an ion diffusion component.

The challenge of increasing food production while maintaining environmental sustainability can be addressed by using biofertilizers such as Azospirillum, which can enhance plant growth and colonize more than 100 plant species. The success of this biotechnology depends on the amount of plant growth-promoting bacteria associated with the plant during crop development. However, monitoring bacterial population dynamics after inoculation requires time-consuming, laborious, and costly procedures.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) serves as a non-invasive technique for assessing cell status, while mechanical stretching plays a pivotal role in stimulating cells to emulate their natural environment. Integrating these two domains enables the concurrent application of mechanical stimulation and EIS in a stretchable cell culture system. However, challenges arise from the difficulty in creating a durable and stable stretchable impedance electrode array.

For the first time, a TiCT-MXene and poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly (styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS) composite-modified electrode has been developed for electrochemical detection of the bilirubin (BR) by molecularly imprinted ortho-phenylenediamine (o-PD). BR is a biomarker for liver-related diseases. High levels of BR imply liver dysfunction; hence, its exact and rapid measurement is indispensable to its immediate diagnosis and treatment.

Although various sensors specifically developed for target analytes are available, affordable biosensing solutions with broad applicability are limited. In this study, a cost-effective biosensor for detecting human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) was developed using custom-made gold leaf electrodes (GLEs). A novel strategy for antibody immobilization on a gold surface, for the first time mediated by protein L and HER2-specific antibody trastuzumab, was examined using commercial screen-printed gold electrodes and GLEs.

Hydroxyapatite (HA) is an engineered biomaterial that closely resembles the hard tissue composition of humans. Biological HA is commonly non-stoichiometric and features lower crystallinity and higher solubility than stoichiometric HA. The chemical compositions of these biomaterials include calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), and trace amounts of various ions such as magnesium (Mg), zinc (Zn), and strontium (Sr).
