Tetanus is rare and often forgotten in the diagnostic workup. The diagnosis is mainly based on typical clinical symptoms, because of missing sensitive paraclinical test. Introduction/aims: Cerebellar ataxia, neuropathy, vestibular areflexia syndrome (CANVAS) is caused by RFC1 expansions. Sensory neuronopathy, polyneuropathy, and involvement of motor, autonomic, and cranial nerves have all been described with RFC1 expansions. We aimed to describe the electrodiagnostic features of patients with RFC1 expansions through multimodal electrophysiological investigations.

Objective: Auditory and somatosensory prepulses are commonly used to assess prepulse inhibition (PPI). The effect of a vestibular prepulse upon blink reflex excitability has not been hitherto assessed.
Methods: Twenty-two healthy subjects and two patients with bilateral peripheral vestibular failure took part in the study.
