The relationship between cannabis use and mental health is complex, as studies often report seemingly contradictory findings regarding whether cannabis use results in more positive or negative treatment outcomes. With an increasing number of individuals using cannabis for both recreational (i.e.

The monosynaptic cortico-motoneuronal connections suggest the possibility of individual motor units (MUs) receiving independent commands from motor cortex. However, previous studies that used corticomuscular coherence (CMC) between electroencephalogram (EEG) signals and electromyogram (EMG) signals have not directly explored the corticospinal functionality at the single motoneuron level. The objective of this study is to find out whether synchronous activities exist between the motor cortex and individual MUs.

Autosomal recessive hypophosphatemic rickets type 2 (ARHR2) is an uncommon hereditary form of rickets characterised by chronic renal phosphate loss and impaired bone mineralisation. This results from compound heterozygous or homozygous pathogenic variants in ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 1 (ENPP1), a key producer of extracellular inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi) and an inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor23 (FGF23). ENPP1 deficiency impacts FGF23 and increases its activity.

Background: Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging greatly impacted Alzheimer's disease (AD) research and diagnosis. which makes predicting PET brain imaging alterations using blood data is of high interest. Additionally, integrating PET and omics data can provide new insights into AD pathophysiology.

Background: Integrating clinical and genetic risk factors for dementia in a precision medicine framework can play a crucial role in primary prevention. Here, we ascertained the proportion of individuals who are at heightened risk of developing dementia based on their family history, genetic, and clinical risk factors and evaluated how the additive burden of these risk indicators is associated with incident dementia.
Method: We analyzed longitudinal data from 3,395 diverse older adults, dementia-free at baseline with follow-up and whole genome sequencing, enrolled in the National Alzheimer's Co-coordinating Center and the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (Table 1).
