Anxiety, a future-oriented negative emotional state, is characterized by heightened arousal and vigilance. The elevated plus maze (EPM) test is a widely used assay of anxiety-related behaviors in rodents and shows a phenomenon where animals with prior test experience tend to avoid open arms in retest sessions. While this one-trial tolerance (OTT) phenomenon limits the reuse of the EPM test, the potential mechanisms remain unsolved.

As a stigmatized disease, infertile patients may value informational support and emotional support differently, which is ignored in existing studies. Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Bipolar Disorder (BD) present significant challenges in diagnosis due to their complex nature. This review aims to examine the interface and overlapping features of these conditions.
Methods: We conducted a narrative review to examine clinical overlap, common psychiatric comorbidities, and shared neurobiological bases between ASD and BD.

Employing Emotional Virtual Characters for Teaching in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Communication and interaction are central to teaching child and adolescent psychiatry, with practical exercises often needing more access to actual patients or actors. Virtual reality (VR) offers an innovative solution by enabling simulation-based learning. With the help of computer-generated, interactive characters, students can practice repeatedly and in a standardized way how to conduct a medical interview and acquire communication skills.
