Two patients with bladder carcinoma that caused annular constriction of the rectum are described. A mechanism of local invasion by genitourinary malignancies (bladder and prostate) involves penetration of the rectovesical fascia of Denonvillier and circumferential rectal spread. Treatment of complete or partial obstructing lesions includes surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy (or combination), as well as several new techniques, notably laser destruction and transrectal tumor resection.

Bladder invasion by appendiceal cancer resulting in a vesico-appendiceal fistula is an uncommon occurrence. Both radical tumor removal and functional preservation of the bladder are desirable in the surgical treatment of this disease, and there are few reports on detailed surgical methods. Here, we describe a case of primary appendiceal mucinous carcinoma with bladder invasion treated with robotic laparoscopy and endoscopy cooperative surgery (RECS).

Background: The JAVELIN Bladder 100 trial demonstrated improved overall survival (OS) with maintenance avelumab in patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma UC (la/mUC) who achieved disease control following first-line platinum-based chemotherapy (1 L-PBC). However, real-world data on eligibility, utilization, and outcomes of maintenance avelumab therapy remain limited.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients with la/mUC who received 1 L-PBC.

Several exploratory studies have demonstrated the feasibility of cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R) targeting in patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) and other neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). We report the results of a prospective phase I/IIA pilot study (clinicaltrials.gov NCT06155994) conducted at our center with the Ga-labeled peptide analog DOTA-DGlu-Ala-Tyr-Gly-Trp-(N-Me)Nle-Asp-1-Nal-Phe-NH (Ga-DOTA-MGS5).
