Objective: To identify the precise ABO blood type subgroups with genotyping.
Method: We screened ABO blood type from voluntary blood donors in our blood collection center. Samples were first examined with a routine serological method. Samples with ambiguous results were further examined with genotyping to identify ABO subgroups.
Results: Two samples identified as AB by serology were considered to be A/B and B/B by PCR-SSP. However, the gene sequencing results revealed the precise subgroup to be CisAB/B and CisAB/B, respectively.
Conclusion: It may be difficult to identify non-typical AB patients with a routine serological method. Genotyping is a more precise method to identify blood subgroups.

Methods: This cross-sectional study examined seven eyes of seven participants with circumscribed choroidal hemangiomas, with or without prior treatment. B-scan ultrasound and color Doppler were used to assess the dimensions, topographical distribution, and internal blood flow of the affected eyes.

This study aimed to elucidate the potential causal relationship between 4,907 plasma proteins and the risk of gastric cancer using a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach. We utilized genome-wide association study (GWAS) data to perform two-sample Mendelian randomization analyses, treating the 4,907 plasma proteins as exposure factors and gastric cancer as the outcome. Instrumental variables for plasma proteins were selected based on strongly correlated SNPs identified through data processing and screening of the GWAS data provided by the deCode database.

Background: Currently, there is a dearth of systematic research data on the phenomenon of false-positive reactions in treponemal tests. The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical characteristics and influencing factors associated with false-positive treponemal tests in patients, so as to enhance the diagnostic accuracy of syphilis and mitigate misdiagnosis-induced incorrect treatment.
Methods: From January 2017 to December 2023, a total of 759 cases with false-positive results for treponema were screened for blood transfusion, surgery, or other medical interventions at Jinling hospital.
