The authors report a case of a rare anomaly--prepyloric gastric atresia of the membranous type cured by the excision of the membrana and by pyloroplasty.

Objective: Heterotopic pancreas (HP) is a condition in which there is well-differentiated pancreatic tissue that lacks any anatomic or vascular contact with the pancreatic gland. It normally arises from the stomach but can be found in other locations. Although it is usually asymptomatic, obstructive symptoms, bleeding, or malignant degeneration can occur.

Preduodenal portal vein (PDPV) is a rare congenital anomaly in which the portal vein lies anterior to the duodenum rather than its normal posterior position. It is a known rare cause of duodenal obstruction and can be associated with other anomalies such as malrotation with or without jejunal atresia. Presented is an incidentally found PDPV causing partial duodenal obstruction during exploration for the resection of a gastric mass and placement of open gastrostomy tube for feeding.
