Background: Patients undergoing cardiac surgery are identified as high risk for infection, including MRSA. An outbreak of MRSA was identified when two patients experienced MRSA infection concurrently in a cardiothoracic high dependency unit with uncommon detection of MRSA previously and an established screening programme.
Methods: An outbreak control team was convened and interventions applied including refresher training in hand and environmental hygiene, review of practice with regard to aseptic access of medical devices and consideration of antibiotic use in the unit.

A 31-year-old gentleman, hailing from West Bengal, a farmer by occupation, with no known prior comorbidities, presented with a history of multiple painful swellings over the abdomen, thorax (back and front), and suprapubic region of 6 months' duration. The swelling started in the abdomen and subsequently involved the thorax. It also progressively increased in size over the 6 months.

Introduction: Chlorotrichosis, commonly known as "green hair," is an unusual trichological condition characterized by the accumulation of exogenous copper in individuals with light-colored hair and prior hair damage. It is primarily associated with inadequately maintained swimming pools.
Case Presentation: We report a case of chlorotrichosis in a 16-year-old female who presented with a sudden and pronounced change in hair color after initiating regular swimming.

Objectives: A more sustainable work-life balance is desired by trainees, and increasing access to flexibility in training may improve staff morale and retention. Although a number of less than full-time (LTFT) trainees are increasing, only a minority identify as men. This study aimed to explore the perception and experience of LTFT training among postgraduate medical trainees (PMTs) identifying as men in Scotland.
