Background: Our study was designed to identify the differential attractor modules related with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) by integrating clustering-based on maximal cliques algorithm and Attract method.
Methods: We firstly recruited the HCM-related microarray data from ArrayExpress database. Next, protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks of normal and HCM were constructed and re-weighted using spearman correlation coefficient (SCC). Then, maximal cliques were found from the PPI networks through the clustering-based on maximal cliques approach. Afterwards, highly overlapped cliques were eliminated or merged according to the interconnectivity, and then modules were obtained. Subsequently, we used Attract method to identify differential attractor modules, following by the pathway enrichment analyses for genes in differential attractor modules.
Results: After removing the cliques with nodes less than or equal to 4, 926 and 1118 maximal cliques in normal and HCM PPI networks were obtained for module analysis. Then, we obtained 32 and 55 modules from the PPI networks of normal and HCM, respectively. By comparing with normal condition, there were 5 module pairs with the same or similar gene composition. Significantly, based on attract method, we found that these 5 modules were differential attractors. Pathway enrichment analyses indicated that proteasome, ribosome and oxidative phosphorylation were the significant pathways.
Conclusions: Proteasome, ribosome and oxidative phosphorylation might play pathophysiological roles in HCM.

Angiosarcomas are a type of soft-tissue sarcoma characterized by aggressive malignant tumors originating from endothelial cells of blood vessels or lymphatic vessels. Limited studies have been done to explore the molecular pathophysiology of the disease, with rather limited studies involving transcriptomic analyzes. This study was undertaken to identify the shared molecular signatures and gene modules associated with angiosarcomas of various origin.

Accurate 6D object pose estimation is critical for autonomous docking. To address the inefficiencies and inaccuracies associated with maximal cliques-based pose estimation methods, we propose a fast 6D pose estimation algorithm that integrates feature space and space compatibility constraints. The algorithm reduces the graph size by employing Laplacian filtering to resample high-frequency signal nodes.

Libido plays a crucial role in influencing semen quality, yet the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. As a central axis in male goose reproduction, the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular-external genitalia (HPTE) axis may contribute to the regulation of this process. In this study, we established a rating scale for goose libido based on average number of massages to erection (ANM) and the erection type, and evaluated semen quality across the entire flock.

Background And Purpose: Recent studies link pesticide exposures to cardiovascular disease risk factors. However, research on the combined effects of multiple pesticides on atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is limited, particularly in rural areas. Despite advances in toxicogenomics, the mechanisms underlying these effects remain unclear.

Background: The mechanisms underlying osteoarthritis (OA) remain unclear, and effective treatments are lacking. This study aims to identify OA-related genes and explore their potential in drug repositioning for OA treatment.
Methods: Transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS) were performed using genome-wide association studies summary data and expression quantitative trait loci data from the Genotype-Tissue Expression project.
