We report levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sediment, seawater, fish and crab samples from Thane creek, India. Concentrations of sixteen USEPA PAH in sediments varies from 874 to 1925ngg, dry weight (dw) in winter, between 219-495ngg in summer. In seawater Σ PAHs concentration during winter was recorded 706±193ngL, and during summer 337±79ngL. Total concentrations of PAHs in consumable portion of lizard fish, bombay duck and crab were found 156.8±18 and 122±24.5ngg, 117.4±17.65ngg and 95.8±16.2ngg, 348±94.5 and 95.62±31.9ngg wet weight (ww) in summer and winter respectively. PAHs concentration were compared with sediments quality guidelines viz. ERL-ERM, TEL-PEL indexes for finding ecotoxicological risk on marine organism. The ILCR values were above public screening criteria for carcinogens.

Semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) are widely distributed across the globe, including polar regions. This study investigates the distribution and bioconcentration of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soils and Colobanthus quitensis, while also estimating potential emission sources. Results indicated high concentrations of PAHs in soils and plants from the Sub-Antarctic region, while OCPs and PCBs were more prevalent in the Antarctic region, with higher contaminant concentrations found in soils than in plant tissues.

The incorporation of ZIF-67 into hydrogels for wastewater pollutant remediation has been widely studied, but the synthesis often requires organic solvents such as methanol or ethanol, which can result in the generation of toxic liquid waste. In this study, a novel hydrogel (ZIF-67@SL) was synthesized by integrating ZIF-67 into a dual-network system of sodium lignosulfonate (SL) and acrylamide (AM) using an in situ precipitation method in water. The material was characterized by XRD, FTIR, XPS, SEM, TEM, BET, and TGA analyses.

An aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, motile, coccus-shaped actinomycete, designated strain LSe6-4, was isolated from leaves of sea purslane (Sesuvium portulacastrum L.) in Thailand and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic studies. Growth of the strain occurred at temperatures between 15 and 38 °C, and with NaCl concentrations 0-13%.

Despite the ubiquity and complexity of atmospheric polycyclic aromatic compounds (PACs), many of these compounds are largely unknown and lack sufficient toxicity data for comprehensive risk assessments. In this study, nontarget screening assisted by in-house and self-developed spectra databases was, therefore, employed to identify PACs in atmospheric particulate matter collected from multiple outdoor settings. Additionally, absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity properties were evaluated to indicate PAC's overall abilities to cause adverse outcomes and incorporated into a novel health risk assessment model to assess their inhalation risks.

Developing orally administered pediatric formulations presents significant challenges due to the unique characteristics of pediatric patients. Terbinafine hydrochloride (TER), a powerful antifungal agent, is effective against various fungal infections, including Tinea capitis, which is common in children. However, its low aqueous solubility necessitates innovative pharmaceutical strategies to enhance its effectiveness.
