591 scintigraphic examinations of the skeletal system in patients with Hodgkin's disease have been performed in the Institute of Oncology in Warsaw in the years 1960-1986. In 361 patients i.e. in 61% examinations were negative. This group included 164 persons (28% of the total) in whom the examination has been performed prior to the initiation of treatment and 196 (33%) who have been treated chemically, by radiation or with combined method. In 231 cases (39%) bone changes have been detected, localized most frequently in the spine (38%) pelvis (27%), ribs (15%), less frequently in the upper extremity (7%), skull (2%). The frequency and localization of the changes in the skeletal system are discussed.
