Wide complex tachycardia is not uncommon in patients with underlying structural heart disease and reduced ejection fraction. It is important to make the correct diagnosis as it carries prognostic and clinical implications. We present a case of a challenging wide complex rhythm detected on remote telemetry monitoring. This case outlines the differential diagnosis of a wide complex tachycardia and the clues to making a diagnosis of artifact. It highlights the importance of correct diagnosis as an incorrect diagnosis may lead to inappropriate treatments and unnecessary investigations.

Twin studies have suggested extremely high estimates of heritability for adolescent executive function, with no substantial contributions from shared environment. However, developmental psychology research has found significant correlations between executive function outcomes and elements of the environment that would be shared in twins. It is unclear whether these seemingly contradictory findings are best explained by genetic confounding in developmental studies or limitations in twin studies, which can potentially underestimate shared environment.

Polyolefins are unique among synthetic polymers because their wide application envelope originates from a finely controlled microstructure of hydrocarbon chains, lacking any distinctive functional groups. This hampers the methods of automated sorting based on vibrational spectroscopies and calls for much more complex C NMR elucidations. High-temperature cryoprobes have dramatically shortened the acquisition time of C NMR spectra, and few minutes are now enough for polyolefin classification purposes; however, conventional data analysis remains labor and time-consuming.

In marine environmental monitoring, due to the presence of a large number of interfering proteins and bacteria in seawater, it is of great significance to construct an efficient sensing interface with antifouling and antibacterial functions to avoid the aforementioned interferences. On this basis, the zwitterionic hydrogel based on sulfobetaine methacrylate (SBMA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) was developed as an antifouling and antibacterial coating. The combination of hydration of zwitterions and hydrophilicity of hydrogels endows BSA@PSBMA with good antiadsorption ability, which effectively hinders the adhesion of proteins and bacteria, thereby improving the detection sensitivity of the biosensor.
