Bile acids (BAs) play important roles in the context of lipid homeostasis and inflammation. Based on extensive preclinical mouse studies, BA signaling pathways have been implicated as therapeutic targets for cardiovascular diseases. However, differences in BA metabolism between mice and humans hamper translation of preclinical outcomes.

Background: In 2018, the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) revised its cervical cancer staging system to enhance clinical relevance, notably by categorizing lymph node metastases (LNM) as an independent stage IIIC. This multicenter study evaluates the prognostic implications of the FIGO 2018 classification within a Japanese cohort.
Methods: This study included 1468 patients with cervical cancer.

An increasing number of procedures over the past two decades for aortic stenosis (AS) reflects the combination of an aging population and less invasive transcatheter options. As a result, the hemodynamics of the aortic valve (AV) have gained renewed interest to understand its behavior and to optimize patient selection. We studied the hemodynamic relationship between pressure loss (ΔP) and transvalvular flow (Q) of the normal AV as well as the impact of a variable supravalvular stenosis.

Introduction: Management of patients with large aortic arch aneurysms who are considered high risk for frozen elephant trunk technique have been challenging, especially when they have a dilated ascending aorta (AA) that precludes total endovascular branched repair (arch BEVAR). A viable option in our armamentarium is wrapping of the AA (AW), and zone 0 Ishimaru TEVAR.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of our aortic database from 2013 to 2024 to select high-risk patients with aortic arch aneurysm that had an AW and TEVAR.

Background: Previous studies on the prevalence and prognosis of nutritional status in valvular heart disease (VHD) were primarily limited to aortic stenosis. The nutritional status of other types of VHDs remained an underexplored area.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of malnutrition risk in different types of VHD and investigate the association between malnutrition risk and adverse clinical events.
