We present a reconstituted lipoprotein-based nanoparticle platform comprising a curcumin fluorescent motif and an NIR responsive gold core. This multifunctional nanosystem is successfully used for aggregation-dependent fluorescence detection and photothermal disassembly of insoluble amyloid aggregates.

Intelligent electronic textiles have important application value in the field of wearable electronics due to their unique structure, flexibility, and breathability. However, the currently reported electronic textiles are still challenged by issues such as their biocompatibility, photothermal conversion, and electromagnetic wave contamination. Herein, a multifunctional biomass-based conductive coating was developed using natural carboxymethyl starch (CMS), dopamine and polypyrrole (PPy) and then further employed for constructing multifunctional intelligent electronic textiles.

Globally, drug-impaired driving fatalities now exceed those from drunk driving, urging the need for on-site and roadside detection methods. In this study, a photothermal desorption and reagent-assisted low-temperature plasma ionization miniature ion trap mass spectrometer (PDRA-LTP-ITMS) was developed for on-site detection of drug-impaired driving. The pseudomultiple reaction monitoring (MRM) in PDRA-LTP-ITMS enables continuous ion selection during ion introduction and improved sensitivity to nearly 3-fold compared with the conventional full scan mode.

Early diagnosis of tumors allows effective treatment of primary cancers through localized therapeutic interventions. However, developing diagnostic tools for sensitive, simple, and early tumor (especially less than 2 mm in diameter) detection remains a challenge. Herein, we presented a biomarker-activatable nanoprobe that enabled a near-infrared (NIR) photothermally amplified signal for fluorescence imaging and urinalysis of tumor.

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a highly sensitive technology to detect target analytes. The construction of dynamic "hot-spots" represents a significant approach to enhancing detection sensitivity. Herein, a hybrid plasma platform with dynamic "hot-spots" was developed for SERS recognition based on the assembly of gold nanospheres (AuNSs) on temperature-sensitive bacterial cellulose (BC) film grafted with poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM).
