Acute tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis (TINU) syndrome is a rare disease, generally presenting in children and young women. The interstitial nephritis may precede, follow, or develop concurrent to the uveitis. We report the clinical features and outcomes of four adult patients, aged 41-70 years with the TINU syndrome.

Introduction: Lung cancer ranks among the foremost causes of mortality associated with cancer. Ensartinib is a highly effective oral anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) inhibitor utilized in the treatment of ALK-positive lung adenocarcinoma. This report presents a case of acute renal failure attributed to the administration of ensartinib.

Background: Autosomal dominant tubulointerstitial kidney disease (ADTKD) caused by -causing pathogenic variants (ADTKD-) is a rare group of heritable diseases. ADTKD- often manifests in childhood with symptoms such as mild hypotension, chronic kidney disease, hyperkalemia, anemia, and acidosis. The diagnosis of ADTKD- remains challenging.

Background: While many studies have reported renal involvement in sarcoidosis, there is limited description of the pathological manifestations of renal sarcoidosis (RS). This study aimed to explore the standardized pathological diagnosis of RS while evaluating the relationship among pathology, clinical manifestations, and prognosis.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective, single-center study of RS in renal biopsy cases treated in our department between January 2019 and December 2023.

Background: Mild histologic lesions of tubulo-interstitial inflammation could represent a "response-to-wounding" rather than allorecognition. Tissue gene expression may complement histopathology for T-cell-mediated rejection (TCMR) diagnostics.
Methods: We report on the incorporation of tissue gene expression testing using a Molecular Microscope Diagnostic System into the management of kidney transplant biopsies with suspected TCMR.

Background: We have previously reported that the gap junction protein connexin 43 (Cx43) was upregulated in chronic renal disease in humans and rodents and plays a crucial role in the progression of experimental nephropathy. In this study, we investigated its role after renal ischemia/reperfusion (rIR), which is a major mechanism of injury in acute renal injury (AKI) and renal transplant graft dysfunction.
Methods: Wild-type mice (WT) and mice in which Cx43 expression was genetically reduced by half (Cx43 ±) were unilaterally nephrectomized.
