Article Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of surface sealant application and 10,000 thermocycles on the surface roughness and microhardness of different resin composite systems. A micro-hybrid (G Aenial Posterior), a nano-hybrid (Clearfil Majesty Posterior), a nano-fill (Filtek Ultimate Universal Restorative, Enamel Shade), and a bulk-fill resin composite (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative) were used for the study. Specimens were evaluated at 24 h, after application of the surface sealant Fortify Plus, and after thermocycling. Data were analyzed using two-way repeated measures of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a posthoc Bonferroni test (p<0.05). Surface roughness values of G Aenial Posterior and Filtek Ultimate Universal Restorative increased significantly after surface sealant application. However, neither surface sealant application nor thermocycling had a significant effect on composite microhardness values except Filtek Ultimate Universal Restorative (p>0.05).

Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the difference between iRoot SP and AH Plus on root canal sealing ability for teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis and explore whether the dentin tubule pathway plays an important role in the development of endodontic-periodontic lesions(EPL), in order to provide a theoretical basis for selection of proper time for root canal therapy and suitable root canal sealants in patients with EPL.
Methods: Fifty single-root anterior teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis were selected. The roots were completely debrided to remove the calculus, dental plaque and cementum.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the color stability of nanofilled composites with and without the application of a dentin bonding agent (Single Bond Universal Adhesive) as a surface sealer, following exposure to common beverages.
Methods: Eighty specimen disks of a nanofilled composite (Filtek 350XT) were prepared and divided into two groups: one treated without a composite sealer (Group A) and one with a composite sealer (Single Bond Universal Adhesive) (Group B). Each group was subdivided into four subgroups (subgroups A1, A2, A3, and A4 and subgroups B1, B2, B3, and B4), and each subgroup was immersed in a separate container containing coffee, tea, cola, or distilled water for 15 days.

Silicone sealants and adhesives are extensively used in construction, automotive, industrial, and electronic applications because they exhibit excellent mechanical properties, strong adhesion, and good weather resistance. Room-temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicones develop good adhesion to many substrates and do not require heat for curing, which leads to flexible use in many applications. Although it is known that various factors such as relative humidity and temperature affect the curing of the RTV silicone adhesives, the interfacial chemistry that occurs during the curing process is still poorly understood but critical for success in adhesive applications.
