Background: When designing cutting-edge technology, particularly humanoid social robots, an essential consideration is understanding how individuals naturally engage in social interactions, shaping their relationships with technology and media.

Method: In pursuit of insights into the application of natural human behavior, specifically reciprocation, in human-robot interaction, an experiment involving 72 participants, involving facial electromyography, focusing on zygomatic and corrugator muscles, served as a tool to gauge users' emotional valence during interactions. The study assessed users' willingness to reciprocate a favor and measured compliance by tracking the number of raffle tickets purchased by users at the robot's request.

Purpose: Pulsed electrical field (PEF) ablation is an energy-based technique used to treat a range of cancers by irreversible electroporation (IRE). Our objective was to use computational and plant-based models to characterize the electric field distribution and ablation zones induced with a commercial 8-needle array-based applicator intended for treatment of skin cancer when high-frequency IRE (H-FIRE) pulses are applied. Electric field characterisation of this device was not previously assessed.

Introduction: H-index is a widely used metric quantifying a researcher's productivity and impact based on an author's publications and citations. Though convenient to calculate, h-index fails to incorporate collaborations and interrelationships between physicians into its assessment of academic impact, leading to limited insight into grouped networks. We present social network analysis as a tool to measure relationships between physicians and quantify their academic impact.
