Background: Myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) is frequently diagnosed in small breed dogs. Pimobendan oral solution has been developed to improve dosing accuracy in small and toy breed dogs.
Hypothesis/objectives: Demonstrate bioequivalence of pimobendan oral solution with pimobendan chewable tablets using a pharmacokinetic and a pharmacodynamic study in healthy purpose bred dogs.

Introduction: High intensity interval training for improving maximal oxygen consumption (VO) is a fundamental component of specific preparation phases for middle- and long-distance runners. In this context, short intervals are very popular in practice. The aim of the present study was to determine whether increasing the intensity of short intervals around maximal aerobic speed (vVO), compared to traditional long interval runs, leads to a greater time spent above 90% VO.

Background: Pulmonary artery banding (PAB) palliates pulmonary over-circulation, while endovascular debanding (ED) offers a less invasive alternative to repeat surgery.
Objectives: To evaluate our experience with ED.
Aims: Retrospective review of single-center data (2015-2023) on children with single, multiple, or "Swiss-cheese" muscular ventricular septal defects (MVSDs) undergoing ED.

Background: Aerobic capacity measured by maximal oxygen uptake (VOmax) is related to functional capacity and is a strong independent predictor of all-cause and disease-specific mortality. Sex-specific cardiac and vascular responses to endurance training have been observed, however, their relative contributions to VOmax are less understood. The purpose of this study was to evaluate sex-specific ventricular-vascular interactions associated with VOmax in healthy males and females.

The maximal oxygen uptake (V̇O) is typically higher in endurance-trained adolescents than in non-endurance-trained peers. However, the specific mechanisms contributing to this remain unclear, as well as the impact of training during this developmental stage. This study aims to compare V̇O and cardiovascular functions between 12-year-old endurance athletes and non-endurance-trained over a 14-month period.
