The constriction produced by a single deep breath was measured simultaneously in two adjacent hand veins in normal subjects. One vein was infused with saline or angiotensin II; the other acted as a control. A dose of angiotensin II (1 pmol/min) that did produce venous constriction directly significantly augmented the constriction caused by deep breath in eight subjects (P less than .01). In a further six subjects the same dose had no effect on venoconstriction caused by infused noradrenaline. We conclude that angiotensin II causes venoconstriction indirectly by augmenting sympathetically mediated responses, possibly by a presynaptic mechanism.

In recent years, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been performed for left main trunk lesions and severe three-vessel lesions, which were previously considered indications for coronary artery bypass grafting( CABG). As a result, more patients with poorer general conditions or vascular characteristics are being considered for CABG. In the current era of PCI, surgeons are required to achieve high bypass graft patency and to perform anastomosis according to the coronary artery lesion and the characteristics of the bypass graft.

Importance: The intravenous administration of adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSCs) in veterinary medicine is a promising regenerative therapy, but it can lead to severe complications, including pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE).
Objective: As part of an ongoing study, this study examined the impact of medications, such as heparin, aspirin, and sodium nitroprusside (SNP), on the factors linked to PTE after an intravenous injection of canine mesenchymal stem cell into experimental animals.
Methods: Fluorescently labeled canine AdMSCs were administered intravenously into the tail veins of five-week-old male BALB/c hairless mice.
