Uterine leiomyomata present major problem for females. Although they are benign tumors their frequency is associated with many symptoms like infertility, abdominal pain, menorrhagia. Authors based on their own morphological studies and review of the literature try to indicate main factors causing angiogenesis within leiomyomata and its influence on tumor growth. The strongest proangiogenic factor seems to be hypoxia, which stimulates up- and down-regulation of numerous genetically determined substances. Also mechanical pressure acting upon newly growing vessels is one of the factors which may determine formation of so called "vascular pseudocapsule" around the lesion.

Diabetic wounds are characterized by chronic inflammation, reduced angiogenesis, and insufficient collagen deposition, leading to impaired healing. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSC) offer a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy, yet their efficacy and immunomodulation can be enhanced through bioactivation. In this study, we developed calcium silicate (CS)-stimulated ADSC-derived EVs (CSEV) incorporated into collagen hydrogels to create a sustained-release system for promoting diabetic wound healing.

Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) initiates the cellular response to low oxygen levels, making it an attractive target for stimulating therapeutic angiogenesis. Several small molecules have been identified that stabilize HIF-1α and activate the angiogenic signaling pathway. However, achieving therapeutic doses of bioactive small molecules in target tissues remains challenging.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation leading to joint damage and systemic complications. Angiogenesis promotes inflammation and contributes to RA progression. This study evaluated potential anti-angiogenic effects of several compounds including small-molecule kinase inhibitors, such as sunitinib (pan-kinase inhibitor), tofacitinib (JAK-inhibitor), NIKi (NF-κB-inducing kinase inhibitor), and the integrin-targeting peptide fluciclatide, using a scratch assay and 3D spheroid-based models of angiogenesis.
